Laughter, smiles and adrenalin, this is just a glimpse of what awaits you when you come to enjoy a day at the magical Makadi Water World, the biggest Aqua Park in Egypt.
In the morning you arrive at an unbelievably huge fairy-tale oasis in the middle of the desert, which leaves you feeling as if in a paradox!

The moment you enter, you feel as though you're in a dream. Huge, unrealistic looking slides with thousands of swirls and turns illuminated by a cascade of colours. It is like a trip back to your childhood fantasies.

To begin with you will encounter a Pirate theme park for kids. There is a pirates' ship to discover along with lots of different sized waterslides, fountains, water pistols and a huge bucket that regularly tips over, spilling water onto your head. Built in shallow water makes the Pirates theme park perfect for children of any age.

Just behind this area is an amazing choice of 50 waterslides, starting off from various platforms of different heights and sizes. Absolutely everything imaginable can be found there, from slow, relaxing body slides to adrenalin-pumping experiences such as The Twister, Space Boat, Wave Slide, Turbo Tunnel and a 19 m "free-fall" slide.
My personal favourite is a red & orange coloured slide that starts off with a short free-fall, then heads up again into a dark tunnel with circles of colourful lights all around and the moment the tension eases, the tunnel ends and you enter another free-fall, bringing you to a high wall that you ride up as though it were a tsunami, ending up being forced back on to a wave-like slide and into the pool.

Visiting Makadi Water world is a great way to enjoy a day out with friends and family. Residents are eligible to a special rate when visiting the venue. A family of four (2 adults and 2 children) pay only 750 LE for an all-inclusive service offering snacks, soft drinks and even ice cream!
