The Tax Authority manager has issued instructions to all departments to accept all grievances ofresidents without having to pay any disputed tax amounts.

Any resident who paid EGP 50  to prove seriousness in a complaint was reimbursed within 60 days in the case of devaluation of the estimated tax.

Residents who own more than one housing unit have the option to designate the highest value unit to receive the benefit of tax exemption.

To receive the tax exemption, household dwellings that contain multiple units built by the parents must have adequate proof of their sons' names and identities in the event of sale.

Income Tax

Income tax for companies is estimated at 25% of the net profit.

When making a payment, make sure a photocopy of the payment is retained stamped by the tax office showing your signature, the chartered accountant signature, and the filing date. Companies that prepare their budgets in foreign currencies have the right to declare the tax declaration in that designated currency but must be paid in Egyptian pounds based on the official rate of exchange in the Central Bank of Egypt on the date of filing.
