Turkish Airlines, a global leader in civil aviation, brought its ever-growing Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup to El Gouna Golf Resort in Hurghada on 27th April.

That support extends from football, basketball, rugby and golf at all levels and the amateur series is a fine example of this from the carrier, which offers a multiple award-winning Business Class service and allows guests to take clubs for free.

 

The Hurghada event was well supported by the local business community and industry partners were among the competitors at El Gouna. The qualifying event took place at the amazing El Gouna Golf Club on Friday April 27th, 2018 in cooperation with Orascom hotel management who really gave their full support for this successful event.

 

The players enjoyed playing in a perfect weather conditions with 27 degrees and light wind, the event ended with a prize giving ceremony while having a tasty dinner and serenaded by magical violin music. 

This year’s tournament is backed by The Financial Times, National, Titanic Hotels and clothing partner Ruck & Maul. The winners of the qualifiers progress to the grand finals in Antalya in November, where they will have the chance to secure a place in the Turkish Airlines Open pro-am. The qualified will fly Business Class on Turkish Airlines and stay at the five-star Titanic Golf Deluxe Hotel.

Duane Beattie will represent Hurghada there after winning the competition with 45 points, while Laurent Bertourne was runner-up, Massimo Finamore was third. The Nearest Pin competition on the 5th hole was won by Lee Kennedy for the men and Charlotte Bertourne for the women on the 3rd hole. Vincent Braibant won the lowest gross score with 75.
