Madinat Makadi Golf Resort held the Jaz Open Tournament 2016 in November. We have seen many players visiting Madinat Makadi to take part in the first of this annually planned event here on the Red Sea.
The course was in perfect tournament shape with fast greens and a strong breeze. Players competing for the winner’s trophy joined from Egypt, Scandinavia, Germany, UK and other European countries and found excellent conditions.
With the tournament offering 2 categories, we seen the winner of CAT A, Scott Murray from Sweden having had an excellent round and scoring 36 points. Being a regular player at Madinat Makadi Golf Course Scott had good experience at reading the tricky undulating greens. Winner of CAT B, Arthur Holleyman from Sweden, had also an excellent round and scored 43 points.
The day concluded with lunch followed by prize giving on the terrace of the 5 star Steigenberger Makadi Hotel, with Mr. Alaa Akel (General Manager for Jaz Hotels & Resorts) to present prizes to the winners.
