The 2016 IBSF World 6Red and Team Snooker Championship concluded with the finals of the 6Red Snooker Men and Women competitions and the Team Snooker championships for Men, Women and Masters. Governor, Vice Governor of South Sinai and IBSF President, Capt. PVK Mohan graced the closing ceremony. The IBSF President in his concluding speech praised the efforts of Egyptian Federation of Billiards Sports and African Billiards and Snooker Federation for promotion of sport in the region. He said “It requires great courage, conviction and commitment to put a tournament like this cruise in difficult time. Anyone can conduct a tournament when everything is all right but a test of character is when you work in difficult time to make a tournament like this happen.” The Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and IBSF Board gave away the trophies to all the players who made it to the podium finish. The medal winners are: Team Men Gold: Iran (Soheil Vahedi, Amir Sarkhosh) Silver: China (Chen Zifan, Yuan Sijun) Joint Bronze: India (Kamal Chawla, Brijesh Damani) & Wales (Jamie Clarke, Andrew Pagett) Team Women Gold: Hong Kong (Ng On Yee, Ka Kai Wan) Silver: India (Vidya Pillai, Amee Kamani) Joint Bronze: India (Varsha Sanjeev, Arantxa Sanchis) & Thailand (Siripaporn N. and Waratthanun S.)
